Spring Grades Reflect the Hard Work of the Ranger Student-Athletes in the Classroom
Denver, Colo.: The 12 Regis sport programs continue their success in the classroom following the spring semester. All 12 teams had a 3.20 grade point average or better this past spring.
The women's golf team led the way with a 3.59 GPA, while the women's cross country team wasn't far behind with a 3.58 average. The top men's average was the soccer team at 3.42 with men's golf next at 3.313. The seven women's sports combined had a 3.45 grade point average, while the men were not far behind at 3.30.
This academic success directly follows the award given to the Rangers from the NCAA for their academic success rate. (Click here for that release)
Four student-athletes were named to Capital One Academic All-District, while three of them were honored on the Capital One Academic All-America teams. 88 percent of all Regis student-athletes earned a spring grade point average of 3.00 or better. Moreover, 76 of the 203 had a 3.50 GPA or better.
