Colorado Springs, Colo.: Steven Brault and Nick Billinger were honored with the RMAC Pitcher and Player of the Week respectively for the performance in a 3-1 series victory over Colorado Mines last weekend.
Brault, from El Cajon, Calif., came out in the series finale and completely shut down the Orediggers. The southpaw tied the Regis record with 16 strikeouts on the mound withle scattering six hits in a 2-0 shutout victory. He walked just one batter and now has a team-leading 26 strikeouts. He is 2-0 so far this season with a 0.56 ERA.
Billinger started the weekend off with a bang going 4-for-6 with seven RBIs, four runs scored, two doubles and a homerun in the Rangers 20-6 victory. For the weekend he hit .526, going 10-for-19 while driving in 10 runs. He scored six times total with five of his 10 hits extra-base hits. He is second on the team with a .526 batting average and leads the team with 21 hits, eight doubles, 17 RBIs and a .780 slugging percentage.
The 8-2 Rangers host a pivotal RMAC Mountain Division series this weekend when they host Colorado Mesa on Friday and Saturday.
