Colorado Springs, Colo.: Freshman Kevin Marshall today was named to the All-RMAC Third Team as voted on by the 14 RMAC coaches. Marshall was only one of two freshmen named to any of the three teams.
Marshall started the final 21 games at point guard and ended up being the second leading scorer for Regis at 11.4 points per game. Since 1981-82, his 285 points is second most by any freshman at Regis. He led the team with 87 assists, a 3.5 average, which is the most ever assists for a Regis freshman since the 1981-82 season.
Five times he scored more than 20 points with a season-high of 25 points in the next to last game in a win over UC-Colorado Springs.
Regis finished the season with a 9-16 record and a 8-14 RMAC mark. Marshall helped the Rangers defeat their first ever ranked team on the road when the Rangers defeated #17 Fort Lewis 80-77.
