GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.: Regis women's basketball ended their season tonight, finishing 10-17 overall on the season. The #8 seed Rangers fell 74-50 to #1 seed Colorado Mesa University.
The Mavs jumped early, going up 44-13 after the first half. Mesa kept the Regis offense from scoring, keeping them to a 15.4 field goal percentage.
Regis put up a big rally in the second half, outscoring CMU 37-30, but could not overcome the first half deficit before the clock ran out.
Junior Tae'lor Purdy led the Rangers with nine points on the night. Senior Kaitie Vader and sophomore Sarah Seefeldt also each had eight apiece to help the Ranger effort.
Senior Meghan Hollenga pulled down six rebounds in the game, four of which were on defense.
