Rangers Lead #4 Rollins at Half but Can't Hold on Falling 19-9

Winter Park, Fla.: The last time Regis and Rollins played, the final regular season game of the 2012 season, the Rangers got the best of the Tars in one of the biggest wins in Regis history.  Regis won that contest 14-13 but today's game went the way of the Tars 19-9.

Regis (2-1) played well in the first half and led 8-6.  The Rangers trailed 6-3 but scored the final five goals to end the half.

Fourth-ranked Rollins, 3-0, then showed why they are ranked as high as they are.  They outscored the Rangers 13-1 in the second half to win going away 19-9.

Nine players scored for the Rangers.  Sierra Perrella led Regis with four ground balls and two caused turnovers.  Margaret Nahrup, Jessika Carlstrom and Emily Behr each grabbed three ground balls.

Danica Cutshall led Regis with five draw controls, while Nahrup, Behr and Emily Elkins garnered two apiece.

Gianna Lombardi was in goal all 60 minutes making a career-high 19 saves.

Regis will play Georgian Court in a neutral site game on Wednesday night.
