Ranger Women's Lacrosse Rebounds with 18-3 Win Over Rockhurst

Kansas City, Mo.: The Ranger women's lacrosse team rebounded from a tough 12-9 loss to #12 Lindenwood on Friday with a convincing 18-3 win over RMAC-foe Rockhurst on Saturday afternoon.

Regis (6-3, 3-1 RMAC) scored the first six goals of the game with the first goal coming just 15 seconds into the game by Hilary Duda.  Rockhurst (0-7, 0-3 RMAC) scored two goals within a 17 second period to cut the lead to 6-2.  The Rangers then put the pedal to the metal by scoring the final nine goals of the half to take a commanding 15-2 lead into the halftime break.

The Rangers held the ball for much of the second half and outscored the hawks 3-1 en route to the 18-3 win.

Emily Behr had another great game with seven points.  She put in four goals and assisted on three others, both team highs.  She also topped the Rangers with six draw controls and helped RU to an 18-5 lead in that category.  

Duda and Erin Steiner each put in three goals, while Emily Elkins and Abbey Chimenti each supplied two.  Chimenti and Erin Todd each assisted on two goals.  The Rangers out-shot the Hawks 31-4 in the game.

Regis will stay in RMAC action as they take on Fort Lewis and Adams State next weekend.
