Volleyball Signs Jaclyn Williamson for 2012

Denver, Colo.: Regis University volleyball coach Frank Lavrisha announced the signing of Jaclyn Williamson of Carlsbad, Calif.

Williamson comes to Regis after graduating from Cathedral Catholic in San Diego, Calif.  She earned four letters in volleyball as a setter  where she led her team to the Division III California State Championship.

Head Coach Frank Lavrisha comments, "Jaclyn brings a wealth of high-level playing experience from her high school and club teams. She is a great team player who brings another competitive personality to the Ranger program. Jaclyn will make us better at the setter position."

She had 836 assists in 2010, while adding 439 more in 2011.  She combined for 117 aces over her final two seasons.  She had 417 digs in two seasons and helped lead CCHS to a runner-up finish at the 2010 Division III California State Tournament.  She was named to the all-tournament team following her junior season.

Three out of the four seasons her team won the Division III California State Tournament.

Williamson joins three others from California who signed earlier; Katie Klein of Fullerton, Calif., Kelsi Wildermuth also from Fullerton, and Laura Schroeder from LaCanada, Calif.
