Ranger Women Place 4th in Rocky Mountain Shootout


The Ranger women's cross country team placed fourth out of 10 teams in the Rocky Mountain Shootout hosted by University of Colorado on October 1st.  The Rangers ran for a total time of 2:10.00. 

Colorado Mesa University took home first with a total run time of 1:58.06.  They were followed by Black Hills State with a total time of 2:00.29 and Fort Lewis with 2:08.34.  Also running in the race was Western New Mexico, Colorado State-Pueblo, South Dakota School of Mines, Garden City Community College, New Mexico Military and University of Denver Club Cross Country.

Lead runner for the Rangers was Hope McGehee who placed 14th with an overall time of 24:57.  Following McGehee was Samantha Comerci, 16th, with a total time of 25:10.  With a run time of 26:02 came Kelly Fleming in 25th place.

Also running for the Rangers was Devin Muldoon (27, 26:09), Kristen Coffey (43, 27:44), Calleigh Durr ((46), 28:11), and Ashley Jensen ((48), 28:21).

The Rangers will run in the Disney Cross Country Classic in Orland, Fla. and the Metro State Invitational in Denver, Colo. on Saturday, October 8th.
