Berce Athletic Center

The Berce Athletic Center is an approximately 24,000-square-foot facility located north of the Regis Fieldhouse on its Northwest Denver Campus at W. 50th Ave. and Federal Boulevard. It features two full basketball courts, volleyball courts, auxiliary centers for athletics training, strength and conditioning, and more.

The $1.4 million donation in 2019 to build the Berce Athletic Center, made by Dan and Annie Berce, marked the largest single gift to the Athletics department. Dan and Annie Berce, of Fort Worth, Texas, are Regis alumni – Dan earned his accounting degree at Regis in 1975 while Annie earned a degree in Business Administration in 1977. Dan serves on the Board of Trustees at Regis and has been an active volunteer leader at the Jesuit, Catholic university for many years.

"We are thrilled to be able to make this gift, especially since it will directly benefit students and student athletes," said Dan Berce. "Access to quality athletic facilities is an important part of the Regis experience."

Dan has served as the President and CEO of GM Financial in Fort Worth since 2005. Previously, he served as president from 2003-2005 and as the company's chief financial officer from 1990 to 2003.

The Berce Athletic Center has been used primarily as a practice facility for Regis University student-athletes, and served as an event location for the first time in 2023 for one of the courts of the annual Colorado Premier Challenge volleyball tournament.

Outside of it's use by Regis University, the Berce Athletic Center is used by the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club for futsal. Those interested in inquiring about facility rental options are asked to contact Philip Piech, Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities, via email at ppiech@regis.edu.
