Alamosa, Colo.: The Ranger offense found their
stride today in their 8-1 victory over Adams State today in Rocky
Mountain Athletic Conference men's soccer action. Junior

Emge scored three goals for his first hat trick of his
career.
17th-ranked Regis (8-1-2, 4-1-2 RMAC) got started early when
senior Nathan
Kafer scored one of his two goals in the sixth minute of the
match. Just over three minutes later, freshman Ndo Chilaka
scored his first collegiate goal and ultimiately the game-winner
when he dribbled around the keeper on the left side and hit it into
the bottom right side of the net.
The Rangers scored once more in the first half and five more in
the second half.
Regis had 31 total shots, while limiting Adams State (0-11, 0-8
RMAC) to just four shots. Adams State is competing in just
their second season as a men's soccer program and their first in
the RMAC.
Joining Emge and Kafer with more than goals was Chilaka who also
scored two goals. Senior Keegan Bast scored
his first goal of the season while freshman Justin Ortinau had
a helping hand dishing out a career-high three assists.
Sophomore Scott Brown started
in goal again for the Rangers and played 45 minutes of shutout
goalkeeping earning his second victory of the season. Brown
gave way to fellow sophomore Francisco Martinez who played the
final 45 allowed just the one goal and had one save.
The Rangers will play three matches next week beginning with a
home date with #6 and cross-town rival Metro State on Wednesday
afternoon.
