Denver, Colo.: Continuing their winning streak,
the Rangers rolled through the Thunderwolves to take a 3-1 victory
at home. Jordan Miller tacked two more goals onto her previous 12
to have 14 on the season. Lauren Dorsey-Sptiz also put one in for
Regis in the match.
Just over six minutes into the game, Regis took an early 1-0
lead when Miller scored her 13th goal of the season.
Meghan Stuart posted up for a corner kick for the Rangers serving
it into Marissa Davis. Davis bounced it to Miller who drilled it
into the right side of Pueblo's net for the goal.
Although the Rangers (12-4-0, 9-2-0) were unable to score for
the remainder of the half, they outshot the Thunderwolves 12 to
four putting four shots on goal to Pueblo's one.
Pueblo (4-9-1, 2-7-1 RMAC) tied the game with 27 and a half
minutes remaining in the game when Gabby Gonzales passed the ball
up field to Katie Thiebaut for the goal.
Regis answered back when Miller struck for a second time. Kari
Taylor received the ball in the corner from Dorsey-Spitz and
crossed it into the box to Miller for the goal. Dorsey-Spitz put
the Rangers up by two when she found the ball among a battle in the
box and put it in a short five and a half minutes later.
In the match, Regis took eight corner kicks and outshot the Pack
28 to 13.
