Denver, Colo.: On Friday, the Rangers played their last regular season home game as did four Regis seniors. Kalley Mahaffey, Katie Horn, Danielle Lardner, and Kelsey Froehlich have led Regis to 52 wins while winning 66 percent of their matches as Rangers. Senior day added another win to the girls' 52 as they helped lead Regis to a 3-0 victory over Adams State at home.
The first half brought 18 shots for Regis as they held Adams State to just two. Erin Kettmann sent one of those shots past Grizzly goalkeeper Hannah Kohlts. Meghan Stuart crossed the ball into the box to Kettmann for the goal.
With two and a half minutes remaining in the period, Regis took a two goal lead as Rachel McMahon crossed the ball into the box on a corner kick. McMahon's ball found the head of Taylor White for Regis' second goal.
Just over five minutes into the second period, Kari Taylor scored to put Regis up by three. After a Grizzly foul, McMahon passed the ball down field to Taylor. Kohlts came out of the goal as Taylor beat her to the ball and kicked it into the back of ASC's net.
Regis outshot Adams State 29 to ten in the match placing 11 shots on goal. Up next, the Rangers will face Fort Lewis College on Sunday in Durango. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
