No. 18 Regis Ties No. 11 Metro State on the Road

Denver, Colo.: On Wednesday, No. 18 Regis traveled across town to face RMAC rival No. 11 Metro State. Both teams walked into the match with five wins and left with one tie as the game went into two overtimes and ended 2-2.

Regis (5-0-1, 1-0-1 RMAC) scored the first goal of the game just over 21 minutes in as Justin Ortinau crossed the ball to Taylor Diem for a header into the back of the Roadrunners' net. About ten minutes passed before Metro State (5-1-1, 2-0-1 RMAC) tied the score at one when Steven Emory scored on an unassisted goal. This goal was the last of the half.

About six minutes into the second half Emory assisted teammate Scott Grode to put the Roadrunners up by one. This lead lasted for nearly 30 minutes before Kyle Emge tied up the score. Ben Fredrickson served the ball to Emge for the goal.

The game went into two overtimes but neither team was able to score again ending the match in a 2-2 tie.

Up next, the Rangers will face Colorado School of Mines at home on Friday. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. at the Regis Match Pitch.
