Box Score Denver, Colo.: On Friday, the Rangers traveled to Alamosa where they fell 78-59 to the Grizzlies at Plachy Hall. This loss drops Regis to 7-9 overall, 6-6 in RMAC play.
The Rangers took the first lead of the game before the lead was exchanged numerous times during the first half. With the exchanges came three ties in the period also. In the last three minutes, Adams state went on an 8-1 run to lead 41-33 going into the break.
Over the first three minutes of the second half, the Grizzlies were able to increase their lead to 15, 50-35. This increased to 20 twice before the final buzzer with ASC taking the victory, 78-59.
Three Rangers led the team in scoring with Meagan Nickell totaling 16 points on the night. Kari Ameling and Kaitie Vader followed with 13 and 11 points respectively. Meghan Hollenga grabbed five boards in the game and Salina Kuiper had five blocked shots.
Up next, the Rangers travel to Durango to take on Fort Lewis on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
