Chadron, Neb.: The top defense in the RMAC showed their might on Friday night as the 22nd-ranked Regis University volleyball team defeated Chadron State in straight sets.

Regis (13-3, 5-1 RMAC) wasted no time in the first two sets winning by identical 25-10 scores, with Chadron State 4-12, 0-6 RMAC making the third set interesting at 25-22.

The Rangers held the Eagles to a -.011 attack percentage, the ninth time the Rangers have held their opponent under .087.  The Rangers have won all of those nine games.

Freshman Jessica Wojcik had another good game getting a match-high 12 kills in 25 swings with just three errors. Junior Caitlin McDonnell came off the bench to supply nine kills, with sophomore Lauren Flanagan chipping in with seven.

Sophomore setter Sage Martinson notched a double-double with 34 assists and 13 digs, with freshman Gina Morgan setting a career high with nine digs and led the team with five total blocks.

The road will get harder as the Rangers take on top 10 nationally ranked Nebraska-Kearney Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. MT.
