Box Score Five separate Ranger men scored in the RMAC Conference match against the Grizzlies of Adams State College. The match brings the men to a 10-3-1 overall record and a 7-3-1 RMAC record.
The first two Ranger goals came in the 36th and 37th minute of the match. For the first goal, forward Ben Buhler gained possession, dribbled into the six yard box and past the keeper, and shot into the back of the net. The second goal came by the foot of midfielder Logan Miller. Miller received a pass from forward Kyle Emge and shot into the upper right of the goal, through the goalkeeper's fingers.
In the 43rd minute the Ranger men scored again. Midfielder Justin Ortinau received a pass from midfielder Dom Pacheco. Ortinau scored in the upper left of the goal bringing the score to 3-0.
The men came out ready to score after the half. In the 43rd minute of play, midfielder Patrick Freeman took a free kick from 25 yards out. Freeman's ball deflected off the wall and into the goal.
The Rangers scored their fifth and final goal in the 75th minute. From the left wing, midfielder Ben Fredrickson passed to midfielder Davey Hewitt. Hewitt's shot hooked around the defender, staying true to the right of the net.
The men had 25 shots, 13 of which were on goal. Ben Sabados started the first 72 minutes in goal for the Rangers, tallying one save on the day. Goalkeeper Francisco Martinez finished up in between the posts remaining uncontested throughout the rest of the match.
The Rangers will host Senior Day against the Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 23rd.
