The Rangers tallied a victory over RMAC Conference opponent Nebraska-Kearney today at Kearney. The women had six shots, five of which were on goal throughout the day.
In the 12th minute of play, midfielder Marissa Davis sent the ball to forward Jordan Miller. Miller, from five yards out, sent the ball to the back of the net for the first Ranger goal.
UNK countered with a goal in the 33rd minute. Raliegh Mercer passed to Becka Talcott who got free of her opponent and scored from five yards out on the right wing.
The Ranger women were not done with the first half. Miller gained possession of the ball in the 41st minute and passed to forward Lauren Dorsey-Spitz who was waiting 10 yards out in the front center of the goal.
Goalkeeper Nicole Eddings remained in goal for the full 90:00 minutes of play. She had two saves throughout the match. The Ranger women's record advances to 12-4-0 overall and to 9-3-0 in the RMAC Conference.
The women will travel to Adams State on Friday, October 28th. The match will take place at 1:00 PM.
