Litchfield, Ariz.: The Regis Ranger men's golf team had a tough round at the first round of the Grand Canyon Invite at Wigwam Golf Course (72-7228).  

Regis sits in a tie for 18th with a 316 and trail Chico State who shot a 276 and UC-Colorado Springs who carded a 287.

Senior Robert Quick led the Rangers with a 75 (+3), while freshman Steven DaSilva tied for 69th with a seven-over 79.  Freshman Dillon McDonald shot an 81, while senior Ben Davis carded an 83 (+11).  Sophomore Donny Stewart also shot an 83 to round out the Rangers scoring.

The tournament finishes up tomorrow.
