Box Score 2 The Ranger women's basketball team (0-1) took on the Golden Bears of Concordia-St. Paul (1-0) Friday, in a season opening in region match up. Forwards Sarah Feeney and Tae'lor Purdy and center Kari Ameling each put up a team high 11 points, but the Rangers could not close the 25 point gap from the first half. The Bears finished the game 72-45 over the Rangers.
The women held the Golden Bears to a 28.6% from behind the arc and kept them 27 points in the second half, matching them with 25 of their own.
The Rangers put up a 71.4 free throw percentage making 21 out of 28 on the night. Post Kara Larson led the women with five rebounds and three steals on the day. She was followed by Feeney and guard Kaitie Vader, who each had four rebounds. .
The Rangers will face their next contest Saturday, November 12th at 2:00 PM at Winona State (0-1).
