Durango, Colo.: The Rangers dropped the NCAA tournament second round match 1-0 to the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis College. FLC hosted the match at 11:30 this morning and the women were showered with a rainy, snowy mix throughout.
The Skyhawks scored the first goal in the 37th minute of play. Forward Megan Striedel played the ball through to midfielder Sara Egbom. Egbom turned and one-touched the ball to the upper-right corner of the net where Ranger keeper Nicole Eddings could not grab it.
The Ranger's offense was unable to find openings in the Skyhawk's defense, putting up on 10 shots on the day, three of which were on goal.
Eddings performed admirably in goal, keeping FLC to just the one goal and recording 10 saves on the day, seven in the second half alone.
