The women's soccer program fell 1-0 to the Mavericks of Colorado Mesa today in the first round of the RMAC Conference tournament hosted by Regis University in Denver, Colo. The semifinal match ended with the Rangers attempting 15 shots, eight of which were on goal.
In the 60th minute, the Mavericks gained possession after a close call at their own goal. Midfielder Kelci Crispe sent the ball into the Ranger's 18 yard box where midfielder Kaitlynn Holt picked it up. Holt turned and sent her first touch into the back of the net for the eventual game-winning goal
Junior Nicole Eddings spent the whole match in between the posts, tallying six saves on the day.
The women will find out Monday if they qualify for their fourth straight NCAA tournament.
