Denver, Colo.: The Rangers continue their weekend with a split against Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday. Regis forced a mercy rule in five innings, 8-0, over the Mustangs before succumbing to SWMS 4-1 in game two.

The first went scoreless before Emily Anderson tripled to start off the bottom of the second. Bianca Holley followed with a walk; Keala Pi'imanu Bertulfo pinch ran for Holley. Sara Baumberger stepped up to the plate and singled to right field bringing in Anderson and Pi'imanu Bertulfo before scoring herself on two Mustang errors. 

Regis (5-4) posted two more runs to the board in the fourth when Nikki Haberkorn hit a three-run double and was brought in on a single by Anderson. In the fifth, Regis forced a mercy rule as Sara Bumberger reached on a fielding error and was brought in on a fielder's choice. Bianca Holley recorded the win after throwing all five innings and jumps to 3-1 so far this season.  

Game two began with Southwest Minnesota State (2-2) scoring two in the top of the first as the Mustangs drew five walks. Regis added a run to the board in the top of the fifth when Baumberger doubled and took advantage of a SWMS error. The next three innings went scoreless before Southwest Minnesota added another run in the bottom of the fifth to increase their lead to 3-1.  

In the sixth, the Mustangs took advantage of a Ranger error and scored a fourth run to sit up by three going into the seventh. 

Unable to match their runs, Regis fell to Southwest Minnesota State 4-1 in game two. Natalie Adami records the loss in the circle and falls to 0-1. 

Up next, Regis will take on Minnesota Duluth tomorrow at the Regis Softball Field. First pitch is set for 11:00 a.m.
