Denver, Colo.: Regis took the first three games of the four-game RMAC series against Colorado Mines, but the Orediggers wouldn't go quietly in game four, taking it 18-6 on a chilly, windy day.
Regis (15-15, 13-10 RMAC) took a 2-1 lead in the first but that was short lived as Colorado Mines (8-23, 6-16 RMAC) tallied eight in the second and three more in the third inning to take a 12-2 lead. The Rangers only got as close to eight, but Mines extended the lead to 12, scoring four in the top of the ninth.
Regis used four pitchers in the game and starter, junior Mike McElreath, was saddled with the loss. Kyle Mack, Aaron Harms and Bryant Asnicar each pitched for Regis.
Senior Zach Blakeley went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Freshman Jon Shoutta drove in three runs, two on a homerun, his RMAC-leading 12th.
