The game started off slow with both teams holding the other scoreless for five innings. In the top of the sixth, the Rangers took a two run lead over Augustana that they would eventually stretch to five.
A leadoff home run by Sara Baumberger crossed the first run for Regis before a second bomb by Natalie Adami put them up by two. The seventh brought three more runs for the Rangers as Baumberger struck again to bring in three. Shannon Massine led off the inning with a single before Alisa Heronema doubled to reach base. With two runners on, Baumberger sent the ball over the left field fence.
