Rangers Fall to Metro State Roadrunners 4-0

The men's soccer team recorded their first loss of the season 4-0 to the Metro State Roadrunners. 

The Roadrunners scored their first goal in the 15th minute of play.  The Roadrunners took a shot that was blocked by Ranger defenders.  The ball bounced to Brenden Hughes who passed to Scott Grode for the first goal of the game.

The next goal came in the 30th minute of the game.  Marc Herschberger crossed the ball to Scott Grode for a header and the second goal of the game.  The Roadrunners regained possession in the 60th minute.  Kevin Pocalyko scored the goal with an assist by T.J. Thiebaut. 

One more goal would be scored in the 68th minute of play by Pocalyko.  After a lot of commotion outside the Ranger goal, Pocalyko scored with assists by Andrew Mejia and Scott Grode. 

Ranger goalkeeper Chris Couperous will get the loss with six saves on the day. 

The men will play again Friday, September 23rd at 5:00 PM.  They will be playing the Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines.
