The Ranger's women's soccer program traveled to St. Paul, Minn. to compete in a Labor Day match with Concordia University at St. Paul. The women came out of the match outscoring the Golden Bears 5-0.
Senior forward Jordan Miller scored two goals for the Rangers, junior midfielders Marissa Davis and Erin Kettmann each had one goal, and freshman midfielder Kikki Arnold had one goal.
Miller's first goal came in the 23rd minute of play. She was assisted by sophomore forward Meghan Stuart. The second goal came shortly after the first in the 27th minute. From a free kick, Kettmann tapped it to Davis who banked a shot off the post. Arnold was there to finish off the goal and bring the score to 2-0. The Rangers gained possession once again in the 28th minute. Sophomore forward CC Rinehart delivered the ball to Kettmann who sent it to the back of the net for the last goal of the half.
The Rangers came out in the second half and maintained their level of play. In the 57th minute, Davis controlled the ball off a Golden Bear defender and ripped it through the goal from 15 yards out.
In the 62rd minute of play, Miller dribbled through three Concordia defenders and beat the goalie for the fifth and final goal of the game.
The Rangers ended the match with 14 shots on goal and five total goals. They earned four assists on the day.
Ellen Augsburger and Nicole Eddings spent time in goal for the Rangers. Eddings saved one goal attempt for the Rangers. Kayla Kuczaboski was in goal for CU earning nine saves and allowing five goals.
