Box Score Colorado Springs, Colo.: The Ranger women's basketball program traveled to Colorado Springs to face the Mountain Lions of UC-Colorado Springs Friday evening. The women fell 73-63 despite their best efforts.
The women hit 40.4% from the field, 40.0% from long distance, and 86.7% from the free throw line.
Three Rangers entered double figure points during the RMAC competition. Post Kari Ameling lead the Rangers with 18 points on the night. She hit on 8-of-11 from the field and a perfect 2-for-2 from the charity stripe along with pulling down six rebounds.
Forward Tae'lor Purdy followed with 15 points and lead the women with eight rebounds. She hit on 6-of-13 from the field.
Guard Brandi Collins scored 12 for the women. She put up five rebounds and lead the women with four assists on the night. She was a perfect 2-for-2 from long distance while she hit on 5-of-13 from the field.
Next, the Rangers will take on CSU-Pueblo Saturday at 5:30 PM in Pueblo, Colo.
