Box Score Grand Junction, Colo.: The Rangers women's basketball team traveled to Grand Junction, Colo. to take on the Mavericks of Colorado Mesa University. The Rangers beat the Maverick team 65-54 in the RMAC competition.
The Rangers hit on 6-of-12 from long distance and 19-of-28 from the free throw line.
Forward Tae'lor Purdy led the women with 19 points on the night. She pulled down one rebound and tallied two assists and two steals for the Rangers. Purdy hit on 5-of-15 from the field and 8-of-9 from the charity stripe.
Guard Brandi Collins hit on 7-of-13 from the field including 4-of-7 from long distance for 18 points on the night. She also pulled down three rebounds and tallied two assists.
Post Kari Ameling put up 11 points on the night. She had three rebounds, three steals and one assist.
Forward Meghan Hollenga led the women with six rebounds and five along with five points.
The women will play Western State on Saturday, January 28th at 6:00 PM in Gunnison, Colo.
