Box Score Denver, Colo.: The 13th-ranked Rangers rebounded from a loss on Friday in a defeat of Colorado Christian in four sets.
Regis (20-8, 14-3) broke a two-match skid by winning the first set 25-19. With the score tied at six, the Rangers went on a 12-3 run and led CCU (21-7, 12-5 RMAC) 17-9. The second set went to CCU 25-16 in a set that the Cougars dominated.
The Rangers came out of the break with a different look and took the next two sets to close out the Cougars 25-18 and 25-22 to win their 20th game of the season. It marks the second season in a row that Regis has notched 20 wins, a mark that hasn't happened since the 2000 and 2001 seasons.
Freshman Caitie Breaux led the Rangers on offense with a match-high 22 kills. She also topped the team with a .465 attack percentage with just two attack errors in 43 attempts. Two seniors, playing in their final two regular season matches, Caitlin McDonnell and Makayla Higgins also contributed. McDonnell had 13 kills and a team-high six blocks.
Freshman Katie Klein put down 11 kills while Higgins put down eight. Klein had three total blocks, while freshman Jaclyn Williamson also contributed three blocks for a total of nine blocks for the Rangers. Williamson also had a match-high 49 assists to go along with 12 digs.
Sophomore Maya Kirkeby led all with 16 digs, while Higgins and junior Sage Martinson each collected 13.
Regis has one more RMAC regular season weekend when they travel to play Chadron State and Black Hills State before the RMAC Tournament begins.
