Box Score Denver, Colo.: The Regis University women's lacrosse team dumped Adams State 21-3 to improve to 2-0 in Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association play.
Regis (3-3, 2-0 WILA) scored the first three goals before Adams State (0-2, 0-2 WILA) got on the board with Lexy Hamilton scoring. Regis scored the next six goals to break open the game and went into halftime with a 11-2 lead.
The Rangers didn't let up as they outscored the under-manned Grizzlies 10-1 to win 21-3. Nine different Rangers scored with senior Morgan Taylor scoring six goals and also getting two assists. She also led the team with four caused turnnovers.
Senior Erin Dybus and freshman Emily Behr and Sierra Perrella each scored three goals, while freshman Hilary Duda tacked on two herself.
Junior Margaret Nahrup caused three turnovers and grabbed a team-high three ground balls. Sophomore Danica Cutshall assisted on two goals and had another nine draw controls and now has 46 on the season just six from setting the Regis single season record.
Freshman Gianna Lombardi had one save and allowed just three goals to improve to 3-3 on the season.
Regis will play next Sunday, February 18th against Lindenwood at 1:00 p.m.
