Box Score

Denver, Colo.: On a busy, warm day on the Regis University campus, the east side of the campus was treated to a 22-8 victory for the Regis women's lacrosse team over WILA foe Fort Lewis.

Fort Lewis (4-4, 2-1 WILA) took the early lead when Kyle Smith scored just over three minutes into the game.  Regis (5-4, 4-1 WILA) scored the next four goals by four different players to take a 4-1 lead with 19:59 remaining.  Smith and Ally Kvidera scored three goals for FLC to knot the score at four with 16:41 remaining in the first half.

Head Coach Sarah Kellner then called and timeout and after that the Rangers went on some kind of a tear by scoring the next nine goals in the first half to take a 13-4 halftime lead.  It didn't stop there for Regis as they scored the first five goals of the second half and 14 in a row to take a commanding 18-4 lead with 20 minutes remaining in the game.

The teams both scored four goals over the last 20 minutes and the Rangers won going away 22-8.

The Rangers outshot the Skyhawks 33-19 and once again controlled the draw controls with 20 compared to 12 for Fort Lewis.

Ari McDonald, Erin Dybus, Emily Behr, Melissa Hastie, and Hilary Duda each scored three goals for the balanced Ranger offense.  Amazingly the Rangers had 15 assists on their 22 goals including four from Danica Cutshall.

Gianna Lombardi snagged up four ground balls, while Kelsey O'Connor, Sierra Perrella and Jessika Carlstrom tallied three each.  Carlstrom and O'Connor also led the team with three caused turnovers apiece.

Cutshall and Behr had 16 of the Rangers 20 draw controls with eight apiece.  Lombardi picked up her fifth win of the season with five saves.

The Rangers host Grand Valley State Sunday afternoon at 12:00 p.m.
