Box Score GOLDEN, Colo.: Regis softball won their first game of the RMAC conference tournament this Thursday, 2-1 over the ThunderWolves of Colorado State University at Pueblo.
Freshman right-hander Sydney Gaffin pitched the complete game, giving up only one run in the second inning and striking out four throughout.
Freshman Taylor Wilcox earned the first RBI of the day in the first inning, singling down the right field line to score junior Shannon Massine.
The Rangers scored again in the fourth inning on a single through the right side that scored sophomore Breanna Backlund.
Wilcox went 2-for-2 with a sacrifice fly and RBI on the day. Adami put in a 1-for-1 performance with two walks and one RBI. Freshman Rachel Illias also had one hit during the game.
Regis will play at the Regis Softball Field in Denver, Colo. friday at 10:00 AM for the next round in the RMAC tournament. The Rangers will take on the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks.
