Box Score DENVER, Colo.: Regis women's basketball dropped their third game Friday, 73-58, to the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis College. Junior Tae'lor Purdy added another double-double to the 2012-13 season, scoring 21 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
Purdy scored seven from the field, including two from long distance, and five-for-eight at the charity stripe. She also had three assists and one steal on the night.
Fellow junior Brandi Collins also put up big points for the Rangers with 17 points overall. She made six from the field including three from three-point range and went two-for-three at the free throw line. The guard also led the Rangers with six assists and four steals.
Senior Meghan Hollenga played big defense for the Rangers with eight rebounds overall. Seven of the forward's rebounds were on defense.
As a team, the Rangers shot 36.1 percent from the field, 30.0 percent from three-point range and 53.3 percent from the charity stripe. They out-rebounds the Skyhawks 34-33 on the night as well.
Fort Lewis put in a good show in the first half, outscoring Regis 37-27 going into the second half. The Rangers put up a fight in the second, but went 31-36 against the Skyhawks, making the win unattainable.
Regis will host Adams State University at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19 in the Regis Fieldhouse.
