Box Score DENVER, Colo.: Ranger women's basketball fell 60-57 tonight despite their tough play in the first half.
Regis had a 30-25 lead going into the second half, maintaining it until 12 minutes left on the clock when Adams State took the lead by one. The lead flipped almost as much as the possession, but the Grizzlies would earn the edge in the final minutes of play.
Final control went to the Grizzlies with less than five minutes on the clock when Adams' Kelly Hernandez gained a chance at the charity stripe. She was good for two which put her team up 51-49.
Sophomore Sarah Seefeldt gave one of her best performances of the 2012-13 season with 15 points on the night. She scored six from the field and went three-for-four at the free throw line.
Senior Sarah Feeney and junior Tae'lor Purdy also put in some work on offense. Feeney put in 13 points while Purdy was good for 12 along with six rebounds.
Senior Miranda Martine led the Rangers with seven rebounds against the Grizzlies. She was also good for five points, one assist and two steals.
The loss brings the Ranger's record to 6-9 overall, 5-6 in the RMAC.
Regis will hit the road next weekend to take on Western State at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, January 25.
