Regis Falls 1-0 to Colorado Mines in Second Round of RMAC Tournament

Box Score

GOLDEN, Colo.:  Regis women's soccer dropped 1-0 to the Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines, causing them to fall out of the RMAC Tournament in the second round of play.

RU put in some strong play throughout the match, but despite their level of commitment, CSM placed a goal in the back of the net in the 17th minute of play.

The Rangers put in 16 shots on the night, six of which were on goal, but were unsuccessful in placing a goal through for themselves to extend the match into extra innings.

Senior goalkeeper Ellen Augsburger amassed four saves throughout regulation, allowing only the one goal early in the first half.

RU finishes their 2013 season with a 9-8-2 overall after the match, and maintained their 6-6-2 record in RMAC play.

The five seniors, Ellen Augsburger, Alison Cahill, Rachel McMahon, CC Rinehart and Meghan Stuart will all graduate in May after their four-year Regis campaigns.
