Denver, Colo.: Senior Sage Martinson earned a spot on the Capital One Academic All-District 6 Volleyball team for not only her action on the court but her work in the classroom.

Martinson, who was named to the All-RMAC Academic First Team earlier this season, has played outside hitter and libero this season.  The LaSalle, Colo. native will graduate in May with a degree in sociology and entered her senior season with a 3.93 grade point average.  

She averages 1.55 kills per set and is second on the team with a 2.63 dig per set average, while leading the team with 22 service aces.  Martinson was a Third Team All-RMAC selection last fall for her efforts on the court.

Martinson will now move onto the national ballot which will be voted on next week.
