Box Score DENVER, Colo.: Regis women's basketball put down fellow RMAC opponents UC-Colorado Springs tonight, outscoring the Mountain Lions 84-75 throughout the game.
Senior Tae'lor Purdy once again led the Rangers with a big 25 point performance after going a perfect 17-17 from the charity stripe, while also collecting eight rebounds.
The Rangers led the first half by two points at 37-35, but outplayed UCCS 47-40 in the second half to snag the nine-point lead.
It was give-and-go there for a little bit early on the second half, but the Rangers kept the advantage throughout, leading them to their second RMAC victory of the 2013-14 season, now 2-1 in the RMAC and 4-3 overall.
Other big performers for RU included sophomore Bay'lee Purdy with 15 points and seven rebounds, junior Sarah Seefeldt with 14 points and seven rebounds and freshman Karlyn Johnson with 12 points and a 6-9 performance from the field.
The Rangers outshot the Mountain Lions from the charity stripe after putting in 38-45 from the free throw line for an 84.4 FT percentage. They hit on 36.2 from the field as well tonight.
Next, Regis will take on Chadron State in Chadron, Neb. on Friday, December 20 at 5:30 p.m. before competing at Black Hills State in Spearfish, S.D. at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 21.
