Colorado Springs, Colo.: Junior pitcher/outfielder Steven Brault was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Player of the Year as voted on by RMAC sports information directors. Brault was joined on the first team by senior pitcher Aaron Harms.
Brault, from El Cajon, Calif. becomes the first Regis baseball player to earn the award. Brault currently owns a 3.63 grade point average in music with an emphasis in vocal performance. Brault leads the RMAC in strikeouts on the mound with 71 and ERA at 1.37. He has a 5-2 record and is also the second leading hitter for the Rangers at .415 and leads Division II with 16 doubles.
Harms, from Lyons, Colo., has a 3.56 GPA in biology. Harms is 4-2 on the mound and leads the team with nine starts. He ranks second for Regis with 52 strikeouts, which ranks third in the RMAC.
