PUEBLO, Colo.:  Regis softball advanced to 10-28 overall, 9-19 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference after splitting with the ThunderWolves of CSU-Pueblo.

Sophomore Rachel Illias went 4-6 with two RBIs and two doubles on the day.  Junior Shelby Wieman had an RBI in each game to help the Ranger effort, while four other Rangers had one hit between the two games.

In the first game, Regis went up over the T-Wolves after crossing four runs in the fourth inning to Pueblo's one making the score 4-1.  RU put another run on in the seventh on an Illias double to right field.

The Rangers would finish seven innings 5-3 over their opponents securing another RMAC victory.

Freshman Nicole Hull went all seven for the Rangers.  The right-hander struck out five and allowed three runs in her sixth win of the season.

Pueblo had Regis' number in the second game, putting up two runs in the third and four in each the fifth and sixth innings to snag 10 runs in the game.

RU put up a rally effort in the fourth, crossing two runs off a groundout by sophomore Taylor Wilcox and single by Wieman.

Sophomore Sydney Gaffin was good for four innings in the circle, allowing six hits, while striking out one in her performance.  Hull finished the last 1.1 inning on the rubber, allowing five hits and four runs in the effort.

The game would finish 10-2 in the sixth with both teams set to face off tomorrow, April 21.  It will be in doubleheader fashion beginning at 11:00 a.m.
