Box Score Spearfish, S.D.: The 23rd-ranked Regis University volleyball team trekked north for their first RMAC game of the season and had a tough time with Black Hills State but eventually prevailed in four sets.
Regis (5-5, 1-0 RMAC) won the first set 25-18 but the home team Yellowjackets (4-4, 0-1 RMAC) bounced back to take the second set 25-20. In the third set, the Rangers led 9-6 but before the Rangers knew it they trailed 15-11. RU battled back to tie the game at 19 and with the score tied at 24, BHSU made two straight errors to give the Rangers the 26-24 win.
Game four was close throughout and late in the set the score was tied at 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 before Regis before kills by Gina Morgan and Caitie Breaux gave the Rangers the 25-23 victory.
