Box Score DENVER, Colo.: Freshman Kaycee Hert put in quite the performance tonight, helping herself to her first double-double of her career and helping the Rangers to a domineering 74-49 lead over the Mountaineers of Western State Colorado University.
Hert owned 14 points and 10 rebounds on the night after hitting on three form the field and going 8-9 from the charity stripe. She also tied for the team-high with three steals on the night, while also putting up one block and one assist.
Standout senior Tae'lor Purdy kept up her offensive game with 19 points and eight rebounds. She hit seven from the field, three from long distance and two from the stripe for her game.
Senior Brandi Collins and sophomore Bay'lee Purdy owned 11 and 10 points respectively. Collins tied for a team-high with three steals and garnered five assists on the night. The younger Purdy put in three from the field and two from 3-pt range for her outing.
Junior Erica Von Stein led the team with six big assists. She also had six points and five rebounds for Regis tonight.
It was all Regis from the get-go, with the Rangers putting up an impressive 34-16 lead at halftime. Their lead continued 40-33 in the second half for their 74-49 lead on the night.
The Rangers will return to the Regis Fieldhouse tomorrow night to take on #4 Colorado Mesa University at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25.
