Women's Soccer to Host CSU-Pueblo in First Round of RMAC Tournament

Colorado Springs, Colorado: The Regis University Ranger women's soccer team has secured the No. 3 seed in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament.  The tournament is set to begin on Wednesday, November 5 at 12 p.m. with Regis hosting the Colorado State University-Pueblo ThunderWolves (7-8-2, 5-7-2 RMAC).  The ThunderWolves are the No. 6 seed. 

These two teams have met twice previously with the Rangers earning wins both times.  The first meeting was back on October 5 on the Regis Match Pitch.  CSU-Pueblo suffered an own goal early in the game to fall 1-0 to the Rangers. 

The second meeting took place this past weekend in the final stretch of regular season games. RU defeated the ThunderWolves 2-1 on the road.  

Regis will be heading into the tournament with back-to-back wins on the road at CSU-Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands.  The ThunderWolves most recently defeated UC-Colorado Springs 4-0.  

The winner will move on to play No. 2 MSU Denver on Friday, November 7 at 4:30 p.m.  The game will be played at No. 1 Colorado Mines.
