Box Score DENVER, Colo.: The Rangers advanced their record to 14-9 overall and 12-7 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with a low-scoring 59-39 big win over the Grizzlies of Adams State tonight.
The Rangers outscored the Grizzlies on the hardwood all night, garnering a 31.7 performance from the field, a 34.6 output from long range and an even more impressive 80 percent free throw percentage.
The led the first half 33-22 and outshot the opposition 26-17 in the second for the final 59-39 decision.
RU put in 14 points off turnovers and another 14 from second chance points while putting in 12 points from the paint and 17 points off the bench.
Senior Tae'lor Purdy picked up her 12th double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds, 10 of which were defensive.
Sophomore Bay'lee Purdy led the team with 19 points and garnered a big nine rebounds as well. Junior Sarah Seefeldt also pulled down a big 13 rebounds while senior Brandi Collins led the effort with six assists.
Tomorrow, the Rangers will take on Fort Lewis College at 3 p.m. Prior to tipoff, Regis will honor their two seniors, Tae'lor Purdy and Brandi Collins who have put in much hard work and dedication throughout their careers.
