Box Score LAKEWOOD, Colo.: Regis women's basketball took on Colorado Christian last night, falling 73-70 to the Cougars in a close game.
Senior Tae'lor Purdy garnered her 10th double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds. The forward hit seven from the field and went 5-6 from the charity stripe.
Sophomore Bay'lee Purdy and freshman Kaycee Hert also had big presence on the hardwood with 16 points apiece. The younger Purdy hit seven from the field including four from long distance on the night while Hert grabbed down eight rebounds.
The Rangers were down 38-31 in the first and came back in the second to outscore CCU 39-35. Unfortunately the second half difference was not enough for RU to pull out the win.
As a team, Regis hit 39.4 percent from the field and 80 percent from the charity stripe.
On Saturday, February 8, the Rangers will take on the Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo. at 5:00 p.m.
