St. Charles, Mo.: The top two teams in the RMAC locked horns on Friday night and with a potential RMAC regular season championship on the line, #12 Lindenwood came away with a 12-9 win over Regis.

Lindenwood (8-2, 3-0 RMAC) scored the first four goals over the first 11 and a half minutes before Regis (5-3, 2-1 RMAC) got on the board with 15:31 when Hilary Duda scored on a free position shot.  The Rangers scratched their way back into the game by scoring the next two goas; one each by Emily Elkins and Emily Behr.

The Lions responded by scoring three of their own over a one minute 10 second period.  RU got one back on another free position goal by Hilary Duda to cut the LU lead to 7-4 at halftime.  

Danica Cutshall got the scoring started for RU in the second half scoring a goal just 42 seconds into the second half.  Lindenwood scored two minutes later before Regis reeled off two in a row.  Behr scored unassisted with 25:29 left in the second before Maddie Garcia notched a goal four minutes later to cut the Lindenwood lead to 8-7.

The Ranger offense was stymied for the next 11 minutes and Lindenwood was able to stretch the lead to 11-7.  The Rangers scored two of the final three goals, one each by Behr and Erin Todd but it was too little, too late and RU fell 12-9.

Behr led the team with three goals, while Duda score two goals.  Morgan Pierson had a team-best five ground balls and Cutshall was next with four ground balls and led the team with three caused turnovers.  

One of the best draw control teams in the country had just seven to 16 for Lindenwood.  RU was led by Tierra Romero's three draw controls.

The Rangers will take on Rockhurst in an RMAC contest on Saturday at noon, central time.
