Denver, Colo.: Daktronics and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association both released their NCAA Division II All-Region teams with seniors Tony Piazza and Jon Shoutta and junior Logan Knox all being represented on each team.

Knox ranked third in the RMAC in hits, doubles and homeruns. He tied Piazza with 73 hits, smacked 18 doubles and went long seven times. He topped the Rangers with 40 RBIs, which ranked fourth in the RMAC as did his .422 batting average and his .659 slugging percentage. The second baseman started all 45 games and had a .966 fielding percentage with just seven errors in 205 chances.
He also tied Piazza with 46 runs scored led the Rangers with 11 multi-RBI games and second with 22 multi-hit games. He finished the season with a nine-game hit streak, the same as Piazza.
Piazza, from Scottsdale, Ariz., was steady all season at the plate, as well as the field. Piazza was named to the First Team All-RMAC team at third base, where he started 30 games of the 45 he started. He also made 13 starts at first and two as designated hitter. Piazza ranked second in the RMAC in hits, third in runs scored and fifth in batting average. He led the team with 24 mult-hit games and finished his season on a nine-game hit streak.
Piazza was third in batting average for RU at .408 and led the team with 179 at bats, 46 runs, 73 hits, and 16 walks. Piazza was second with 16 doubles and three triples and amazingly just struck out 10 times in 196 total plate appearances. He also topped the squad with 12 stolen bases.
Jon Shoutta started all 31 games in which he played. Following injury in the beginning of the season, Shoutta took off over the final month of the season. He hit .541 over the final 16 games (33-for-61), tops on the team. He had seven doubles and led the Rangers with five homeruns and 26 RBIs over that span. He also had a .902 slugging and a .571 on-base percentage to end the season. He ended the season with a 15-game hit streak, which is the longest for a Ranger since the 2009 season.
Shoutta ended the season third in the RMAC in batting average with a .439 average. He led the Rangers and ranked third in conference with a .693 slugging percentage. He was second on the team with six homeruns, while ranking third with 34 runs batted in. He also topped the squad with a .488 on-base percentage and fielded well having just one error for a .991 fielding percentage.
