Rangers Earn Trip to RMAC Championship with 17-1 Win Over Adams State

Denver, Colo.: The top seed and 15th-ranked Regis University women's lacrosse team took care of business in the RMAC Tournament Semi-Finals dispatching Adams State 17-1.  The win sets up the RMAC Championship between the Rangers and Fort Lewis on Saturday afternoon.

It took the Rangers (13-3) just 14 seconds into the game when Emily Elkins, who led the team with four goals, scored on an assist from Maribel Gallegos.  RU scored the first 13 goals of the game with 12 coming before half. 

Regis outshot the Grizzlies (2-12) 33-7 and had a season-low six turnovers.  Erin Todd joined Elkins with four goals, whle also assisting on two others.  Hilary Duda and Monica Gorciak each tallied two goals, while Emily Behr had a game-high four assists.  Gianna Lombardi made four saves allowing just the one goal.
