COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Regis University volleyball team had five student-athletes named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic Honor Roll, announced Thursday afternoon. The group includes three sophomores, a junior, and a senior.

Senior Rebecca Sponcil, junior Maggie Steward, and sophomores Cedar Bellows, Caitlyn Martinez, and Drew Rhamy received the academic recognition. Sponcil and Steward are repeat honorees; Sponcil has made the list each of her four years as a Ranger Steward nabs her second straight.

Bellows, a Pre-Med major, and Martinez, a Pre-Pharmacy major, led Regis with 3.77 GPAs. Steward has earned a 3.64 in Psychology, Sponcil with a 3.57 and a major in Accounting, and Rhamy with 3.48 in Business.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative GPA and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
