After leaving Grand Junction, Colo. with a tie agaisnt Colorado Mesa University, the team was looking to grab three points and win against Westminster College (6-4-0, 3-4-0 RMAC) in Utah.

In the opening minutes of overtime, junior goalkeeper Kat Crump sent a goal kick deep into Griffin territory. The ball was collected by the Rangers and Sid Otto carried the ball up the right side of the field. Otto cruised past two defenders, created space, and drilled a shot at the Westminster keeper who was unable to collect the ball as it slid through her arms and into the goal.
Regis scored on the only shot from either team in the overtime period. RU did not concede a single corner kick to the Griffins while they earned six, all coming in the second half. A tough defensive battle from the Rangers backline throughout the game earned Kat Crump (5-0-1, 2-0-1 RMAC) her fourth shutout on the season.
