DENVER, Colo. - Regis University men's soccer (4-4-0, 3-3-0 RMAC) took care of business against Colorado Christian University (1-9-0, 1-5-0 RMAC) beating the Cougars 5-1. 

Both Regis and CCU began the game by challenging the opposing defense, attacking with menace. Playing in his second game this season, junior Jake Gilchrist-Dudley drilled his first goal of the season past the Cougar goalkeeper to get things started for RU. 

The Rangers pressed on attacking any chance they got. The constant pressure from the Regis offense earned them a free kick just outside the penalty box two minutes into the second half. Redshirt-sophomore Eduardo Belmar stepped up and delivered a beautiful ball to senior Cameron McCaslin who scored the second Ranger goal of the game, his second of the season. 

Regis did not stop there. Senior Elliot Sutcliffe collected a loose ball of a deflection and netted his third goal of the season, increasing the RU lead to 3-0. The Cougars could not find any way to contain the Ranger offense as they constantly forced their way into the penalty area. Regis earned three penalty kick opportunities with sophomore Sawyer Lincoln converting on one of his two opportunities.

Blake Goodale of Colorado Christian was able to sneak a 20 yard past senior Christian Nicolosi for CCU's first goal of the game. However, Lincoln capitalized on an open space opportunity blasting a shot from 25 yards out for his second goal of the game. 

RU bombarded the Cougars with 33 shots in the game, putting 15 of those shots on target. Regis also dominated the corner kick battle taking seven and limiting CCU to only one. Sawyer Lincoln led all Regis players putting seven of his nine shots on net. 

The men's soccer team will travel to Metro State Univeristy-Denver to take on the Roadrunners on Friday October 9 at 7 p.m. The Rangers will then head to Colorado Springs to face UC-Colorado Springs on Sunday October 11 at 2:30 p.m. Catch live streams of both games by clicking the video link next to the game on the men's soccer schedule.
